Join us for a queer femme performance extravaganza to launch Kristen Nelson’s book "the length of this gap" into the world.

"the length" as described by CA Conrad is "One of the most powerful, breathtaking bodies of poetry fortifying the will to survive." It is a book about loss that attempts to measure the length of grief-time. A book steeped in queerness and filled with text/image collaboration, poems, hybrid prose, and other liminal forms. I've designed a collaborative performance event to celebrate the release of the book, which I worked on for over ten years. (10! Holy Smoke! Yep!) The event will feature queer femme performers in a variety of genres: spoken word, music, aerial silks, acrobatics, and more.

The evening's events will be MC'd by Natalie Brewster Nguyen.

Featured Performers include:
Kristen Nelson, poetry/spoken word performance
Samantha Bounkeua, violin
Joanna Lynne Smith, aerial silks & acrobatics
Jenna Korsmo, spoken word
Hannah Ensor, poetry

Also featuring the amazing work of Erin Henderson, Devin Gardner, and Les Femmes Merveilleuses
