The Institute for LGBT Studies (iLGBTS) is pleased to announce that during the 2019/2020 academic year, we will be hosting a series of workshops focused around LGBTQ+ Art, Culture, and Expression. The proposed structure is a two-hour workshop once a month, in addition to one larger event with several workshops and an opportunity for LGBTQ+ individuals to showcase their work to the public. Workshops will be provided to members of the university, as well as members of the greater Tucson community. We invite individuals to think broadly about LGBTQ+ Art, Culture, and Expression, with some potential examples being: drawing, painting, sculpture, written word, spoken word, tattooing, music, performance art, historical expression, etc. Individuals who are selected to give a workshop will be provided with a $200 honorarium.
The deadline for abstract submissions is June 30th, 2019 at 5pm (Arizona time).
